The MBSR curriculum was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the late 70’s and since then has become the gold standard for those wishing to integrate mindfulness and meditation into their daily lives. It is taught throughout the world and is the most scientifically researched of all mindfulness trainings currently available. It requires a serious commitment to practice for those who participate in the class.
The orientation is an opportunity to learn more what you can expect if you enroll in the course and what will be expected of you. It is also an opportunity to get to know Jon Aaron, one of the most respected MBSR teachers in New York, who will be teaching the class at Land Yoga.
The orientation is required for all those who fully register for the class, but is open to anyone interested in learning more about the class itself before registering for the 8 week commitment.
