Ashtanga Yoga is a balance between moments of movement and stillness in asanas. In this workshop, we will focus on breaking down the moving pieces that link the postures together. Beginning with drills to learn to lift up and experience lightness in your practice, we’ll then move on to mastering the elusive art of the `vinyasa,’ also known as jump backs or jump throughs. We’ll also tackle other tricky transitions such as Chakrasana, the backward summersault, all while reviewing the role of breathing in transitions.
